The Naked Now: Learn to See As the Mystics See
Filled with sayings, stories, quotations, and appeals to the heart, specific methods for identifying dualistic thinking are presented with simple practices for stripping away ego and the fear of dwelling in the present. ”Transformed people transform People.” ― Richard Rohr “It is hardly an exaggeration to say that “us-and-them” seeing, and the dualistic thinking that results, is the foundation of almost all discontent and violence in the world.” ― Richard Rohr ”The most amazing fact about Jesus, unlike almost any other religious founder, is that he found God in disorder and imperfection—and told us that we must do the same or we would never be content on this earth.” ― Richard Rohr, The Naked Now The Naked Now explores methods for letting go of division and living in the present. Drawn from the Gospels, Jesus, Paul, and the great Christian contemplatives, this examination reveals how many of the hidden truths of Christianity have been misunderstood or lost and how to read them with the eyes of the mystics rather than interpreting them through rational thought. |

GREAT - WELCOME! We are excited to have you join on this journey together!
You are welcome to use these generically branded resources as you would like. Swap out your logo, add wording specific to your location or whatever best suits your community. Feel free to watch our sermons on YouTube to get inspiration for messages. We do ask that you contact us at [email protected] so we can add you to the participation list and provide assistance as well as helpful resources for your spiritual center. Including UVC in appreciation tithes and love offerings help us offer these resources to the greater New Thought CommUnity. Visit our GIVE page to contribute. If you would like to fully participate by live-streaming our Sunday sermons from YouTube directly to your spiritual community, just contact the office as we have options to make that copyright material available to your ministry. |
