Reverend Marianne Jones
Pastoral Services Minister and temporarily our Lead Minister
Marianne graduated from the Ministerial Education Program at Unity School of Christianity
in 1987. Prior to entering ministry, she served in Silent Unity for 6 years. Since graduation,
she has served in the Association of Unity Churches as International Children's Education
Consultant, Chaplain as well as Youth and Children's minister at Unity Church of Overland
Park. Marianne joined the ministerial team at Unity Village Chapel in 1997. She resides in
Lee's Summit with her husband, Rev. Gary Jones.

Kaya Hewitt
Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator
Kaya comes to us from Unity Temple on the Plaza where she became a Truth student
over 15 years ago. After raising her children in Unity, volunteering in the youth
department for years and being the Youth of Unity head sponsor, she became the
nursery coordinator and the assistant to their Sunday school director. Kaya’s first
career was as a classical dancer. Now she is a holistic healer with a private
practice in Kansas City for over 20 years. She has been teaching children and adults
since her teens in areas a varied as dance, meditation, yoga, spiritual principles,
childbirth preparation, and healing techniques. She is married with 2 teenage
children. Kaya is very excited to be joining our growing church.

Dolores Schmidt
Sunday Coordinator and Accountant
Dolores has been a volunteer and member of our congregation for 40 years. She has three grown
children and six grandchildren. She is an accountant and has had her own tax and accounting
business for twenty-five years. Besides working in the construction industry as an
accountant, she has been production manager for two of the larger lithographing companies in
the area. Her passions are being in service to her church and spending time with family
and friends.

Cindy White, MS, LPC, NCC
Heart-Light Spiritual Counselor
Cindy White is a psychotherapist with more than 10 years experience as a
Professional Counselor, and is currently licensed to practice in Missouri and Ohio.
She has provided individual and group therapy for a wide range of life challenges,
and she enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and lifestyles. Cindy has
taught Unity classes and led workshops with a focus on spiritual growth, inner peace,
and joy. Cindy moved to Missouri in 2008 and is a ministerial student at Unity
Institute.

Joan Mellor
Office Administrator
Joan has been a member of Unity Village Chapel since 2001, she and her husband Michael
volunteer on Sunday mornings. She assisted previously in the Chapel office from 2002
to 2005 and has owned an organizing business, "Everything In It's Place" and a home
rehabbing business, "J & M Home Investors". Joan and Michael have 2 daughters and
2 grandsons.
